These Terms & Conditions are issued by GoLucid, LLC (“GoLucid”). All references to “GoLucid” herein refer to GoLucid, LLC.
1. Overview of Participation
The Certified EventTech Classification Initiative ("CECI") is an industry-wide effort, led and managed by GoLucid, LLC (“GoLucid”), to define, standardize, and evolve how event technology is categorized and understood.
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in all CECI activities, including registration, membership, and council engagement.
By submitting information, joining as a member, or contributing to the initiative, you agree to these terms.
2. Who These Terms Apply To
These terms apply to all participants in CECI, including:

The goal of CECI is to establish and maintain a living, evolving framework for event technology classification—shaped by the companies that create, serve, and support event technology.

CECI collects and organizes company-level classification data from event technology vendors to support a shared framework used by the industry.
The initiative does not collect or process personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other international privacy frameworks.
All participation is voluntary, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is required or stored as part of the initiative.

6. Intellectual Property and Data Use Restrictions
All data within the Certified EventTech Classification Registry and Classification Collective remains the intellectual property of GoLucid, LLC.
Participants may access this data only within the scope of their role and may not:
Violations of these restrictions may result in removal from the initiative and legal action.
7. Public Recognition and Attribution
By participating, you grant GoLucid permission to use your organization’s:

Unauthorized or misleading use of the CECI name or brand may result in immediate removal from the initiative.
8. Accuracy, Updates, and Verification
You are responsible for maintaining accurate and current information in your registration or membership record.

CECI also reserves the right to:
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Registration: Free and voluntary.
Industry Membership & Guild Membership: Fees are non-refundable once membership access or onboarding begins.
Cancellation: Members may cancel participation with 30 days’ written notice before renewal.
Council & Partner Participation: No financial commitment; participation may be ended by either party in writing.
10. Non-Transferability
Membership, participation rights, and associated access to the Classification Collective are non-transferable without prior written consent from GoLucid.
11. Termination for Cause
GoLucid reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation in the initiative if a Member engages in activity that compromises the purpose, integrity, or collaborative environment of the initiative—including, but not limited to, misuse of data, misrepresentation of involvement, or repeated violation of the stated terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
GoLucid makes no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or commercial value of data within the Registry or reports.
Participation in CECI does not imply endorsement or certification by GoLucid or any governing body.
GoLucid shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from participation, data usage, or published content related to CECI.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, United States of America.
Any disputes arising under these terms shall be handled in Maricopa County, Arizona.
14. Modifications
GoLucid may update or amend these Terms at any time to reflect program or legal changes.
Material updates will be communicated to all active participants and reflected on the CECI website.
