Last Updated: 12/2/2025

Issued by GoLucid, LLC

These Terms & Conditions are issued by GoLucid, LLC (“GoLucid”). All references to “GoLucid” herein refer to GoLucid, LLC.

1. Overview of Participation

The Certified EventTech Classification Initiative ("CECI") is an industry-wide effort, led and managed by GoLucid, LLC (“GoLucid”), to define, standardize, and evolve how event technology is categorized and understood.

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in all CECI activities, including registration, membership, and council engagement.

By submitting information, joining as a member, or contributing to the initiative, you agree to these terms.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply to all participants in CECI, including:

  • Registrants: Event technology vendors that register their company information in the CECI Registry.
  • Industry Members (Level 1): Registered vendors that contribute financially and participate in CECI surveys and framework feedback.
  • Guild Members (Level 2): Qualified Industry Members who meet eligibility requirements and participate in advanced validation, scoring, and quarterly framework updates.
  • Council Members: Appointed industry experts who provide oversight, governance, and neutrality.
  • Partner Members: Associations, organizations, or sponsors supporting the initiative’s mission and visibility.

Participation levels determine the type of access, contribution, and visibility within the CECI ecosystem.

3. Purpose of Participation

The goal of CECI is to establish and maintain a living, evolving framework for event technology classification—shaped by the companies that create, serve, and support event technology.

Participation allows companies to:

  • Contribute to defining and refining terminology and categories.
  • Gain visibility in the industry-wide registry and public reports.
  • Access data insights proportional to their membership level.
  • Help shape the shared language used by buyers, organizers, and technologists across the global event ecosystem.

4.Term and Renewal

  • Registrants:
Registration is valid for one (1) year from submission and may be updated at any time to reflect new classifications, solutions, or company changes.
  • Industry Members (Level 1):
Membership is annual and automatically renews unless canceled in writing at least 30 days before renewal.
  • Guild Members (Level 2):
Eligibility requires at least four (4) months of active Industry Membership. Enrollment occurs during the June or December intake periods based on membership start date. Renewal is annual and automatically renews unless canceled in writing at least 30 days before renewal.
  • Council and Partner Members:
Participation is ongoing but reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with initiative goals.

5. Use of Data and Contributions

CECI collects and organizes company-level classification data from event technology vendors to support a shared framework used by the industry.

The initiative does not collect or process personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other international privacy frameworks.
All participation is voluntary, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is required or stored as part of the initiative.

By participating, you agree that:

  • Your submitted company data may be reviewed, categorized, and displayed in the Certified EventTech Classification Registry.
  • Aggregated or anonymized data may appear in public reports, industry briefings, or research summaries.
  • Submitted data contributes to improving the shared framework used across the event technology ecosystem.
  • GoLucid may analyze and use anonymized data for research, benchmarking, and model refinement.

CECI’s framework and definitions are evolving. By registering or participating, you acknowledge that:

  • Definitions, classifications, and terminology may be refined over time.
  • Your input, feedback, and continued participation help shape those refinements.
  • Regular registration updates ensure ongoing data accuracy as your business or offerings evolve.

  • Use the CECI name or logo to misrepresent membership status or certification level.

Violations of these restrictions may result in removal from the initiative and legal action.

7. Public Recognition and Attribution

By participating, you grant GoLucid permission to use your organization’s:

  • Name, logo, and publicly available information, and
  • Statements, testimonials, or participation input (e.g., interviews or survey data),

for use in CECI communications, public reports, or marketing materials.
